T-Mobile is introducing Android in the Netherlands and has organised a challenge around it. I won this challenge today!
Meter Maid
Through the Google developers programme I have had an Android phone at my disposal for some time. With it I made an application that makes paid parking a lot easier.
Paid parking is normally a search for the right zone number, with which you then have to compose a cryptic SMS. With Meter Maid this is a thing of the past.
Through a simple and fast user interface you start and stop the parking meter. The jury considered it important that it is a truly “mobile” application.
